Douglas' co-starring role in Coachella Valley Rep's production of NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT ( April 10-28, 2024), garnered him a number of rave reviews.
"Graham as the fast-talking, wise-cracking, Cookie takes the stage like a well-seasoned comedian and long-time theatre gypsy. Timing and stage presence raise this gangster character to Co-star billing status. Some of the best laughs of the night came from this funny man."
-Gilmore Rizzo, Broadwayworld.com
"Graham, who is a seasoned Broadway dancer and singer, has said that he never had a comic acting role like this. But you’d never know it. He is grounded in his body, graceful in his movement, and powerfully commands the stage as a hysterically funny fully fleshed-out character."
Jason Mannino, StageandCinema.com
"In a production of this quality, it’s hard to say that any actor steals the show, but the one who comes closest is local favorite Douglas Graham, as Cookie McGee. Graham treats us to his usual strong vocals and sharp dance moves, but it’s his comedic chops that really stand out. His timing and one-liners in the wedding-luncheon scene are reminiscent of a good Carol Burnett sketch."

"THE ANNIVERSARY"
Douglas' latest creative project was a full length feature film called "The Anniversary" which premiered at the Annenberg Theatre downtown Palm Springs. This feature film, produced by the Palm Springs Dance Project and directed by acclaimed director Stephen Agisilaou, features a plethora of Palm Springs iconic sites and scenes, and upwards of 50 local dancers. The film is a huge passion project and made possible by a vast number of artistic and industry friends and supporters. With only two words in the entire script, "The Anniversary" reveals its story through the universal language of dance. Besides having a role in the film, dance icons Shea New, Joe Istre, and cameo by Caitlyn Wheeler of Cirque de Soliel also appear. This engaging evening celebrates our local dance community through the medium of film, featuring a slick original dance short film, our full-length feature film, and a Q&A event with the films' producer, director, and cast. Following the premiere in Palm Springs, the film heads off on the film festival circuit, representing the dance community of Palm Springs, traveling the world from 2022-2025! Palm Springs Dance project is a local, grassroots 501(c)(3) organization, building a thriving dance community through dance education, performance, and community programs. Back by popular demand, Douglas brought his successful cabaret show, "Douglas Graham: Dancin' Man" to the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert. New songs, more dancing, with the addition of two dancers accompanying him, Douglas explored the highs and lows, tears and laughs of his life and career.
Douglas got rave reviews in his appearance as "Harry (the Noodle)" in CV Repertory Theatre's sold-out run of the musical "Ballroom". BroadwayWorld.com said "...a standout comic turn by Douglas Graham as Harry (the Noodle)." And CV Independent wrote: "...Local favorite Douglas Graham nearly steals the show as the odd but highly skilled dancer Harry “The Noodle.” He commands the stage every time he appears; too bad we don’t get to see more of him.'

"Douglas Graham has done a lot of performing since moving to the desert five years ago but it pails by his credits as a Broadway 'gypsy' which is a long list indeed - there's CATS, Chicago, Phantom Of The Opera, A Chorus Line, Dancin', 5,6,7,8 Dance, Woman Of The Year, Dreamgirls, Damn Yankees, Will Rogers Follies, and 7 Brides For 7 Brothers, just to name a few. Locally he continues to sing and dance and recently recreated his Rum Tug Tugger role in CATS for Palm Canyon Theater. As a choreographer, Doug is a 2012 Desert Theater League nominee for both his work on Broadway Tonight and Hooray For Hollywood for Cabaret Theater West.
For this new one-man show, "Perfectly Imperfect," Douglas has compiled a roster of song selections from Broadway, The Great American Songbook, and Popular music that he feels describe himself, but most likely the audience will see a little of themselves in more than a few. The show begins at 2 PM on Sunday, August 19th at the Arthur Newman Theater located in the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert. Local musical director Joel Baker will accompany Doug on piano for the show."
"Perfectly Imperfect" is presented as part of the Les Michaels' Sundays In Summer Cabaret Concert Series that runs through October 28 with a new show each Sunday. The box office opens at 1 PM and tickets are $10 cash at the box office. For more information, call 760-325-2731.
